The Denise Amber Lee Foundation
The Denise Amber Lee Foundation was founded by Denise’s husband, Nathan Lee in June of 2008, 6 months after her tragic death. He has made it his life’s mission to travel the country telling her story, to help 911 centers across the country try to avoid a similar occurrence to someone else. The Denise Amber Lee Foundation’s mission is:
To support and promote public safety through:
- Uniform training (learn about their in-person and online classes)
- Standardized protocols
- Defined measurable outcomes (quality assurance)
- Technological advances to 911
The Foundation wants to use the emotional power of Denise’s story to motivate and inspire 911 personnel to remember why they do what they do. Arguably one of the most difficult professions on the planet, the Foundation wants to remind them how important they are and what a critical role they play every day in public safety.
Our Partnership with the Foundation
A Donation for Each Chair Sold
For every Concept Seating chair sold in the Public Safety Sector, we make a monetary donation to the foundation. This partnership is ongoing and we are pleased to be a part of the Foundation’s growth.
The Golden Headset Award
Starting in 2022, we launched a new initiative with the Foundation: The Golden Headset Award. This quarterly award recognizes public safety professionals who have made an exceptional impact, demonstrate leadership and bring positivity to the profession, community, and callers.
Individuals are nominated by their peers and judging is done by a panel of public safety professionals. This is just one small way to recognize the many public safety heroes and raise awareness of their stories.
